Lots of agility coming up...

Rumor and I have been doing a fair amount of local trials lately and we have a lot of larger events coming up before the Summer.  I hope to give him the Summer off and just play on the beach and be a dog

We have 1 more local USDAA trial (although, he's already totally qualified for Cynosports) just to get us tuned up a bit and more practice at some of the games.  I have turned in an Intent To Compete form to see if we can maybe earn enough points since the IFCS World Championships will be in the US next year.  It will be very tough as there are lots of teams competing, but I figured it was worth a shot.

We have FCI World Team Tryouts in May, which is going to be some very tough competition on extremely tough courses.  I know a lot of it will be over our heads, but I'm hoping to get some great experience and enjoy the runs.

After that Rumor and I will be going to TX and to GA for 2 USDAA Regionals... those are our last 2 large events before Summer break!  :)

Qualified for World Team Tryouts

Rumor is now, officially, qualified for the AKC World Team Tryouts!  This has been a big goal for me with him and I'm really looking forward to Tryouts in May -- they will be held in Minnesota.  I know Rumor and I will be up against the best competition in the United States, but it will be fun running those tough courses and a great opportunity to see where we stand against other competitors.  Should be a great time!

Agility & the Holidays!

We have been keeping busy between agility trials and getting ready for the Holidays  :)
We just finished a weekend at 1 of my favorite trials of the year, Hounds for the Holidays.  We were just there 2 days, but I think Rumor and I had 1 of our best JWW runs to date!  It was a very fun, competitive 26" class and less than 0.5 or 1 sec separated 1st through 4th place!  Rumor got 2nd by a couple hundredths of a second.

It feels as though we are working together and finally a team.  It is nice going to the line and feeling confident that we can get through the entire course, and in good style  :)  We are done with agility trials until 2011 so now it is time for some R&R!
